through our philanthropic efforts. Our

There are more than 50 million family
caregivers in the U.S., and this number
will rise dramatically as the population
ages and life expectancy continues to
increase. While providing care to a loved
one can be rewarding, many unpaid family
caregivers face emotional and financial
challenges, as well as strains on their own
health and well-being.
In 2007, The Caregiver Initiative, a
project of Johnson & Johnson Consumer
aims to improve the educational experience
by providing students with classroom
instruction, career development, mentoring
and work-based learning opportunities in an
array of health care careers
throughout their high
school years. BTE is

America and Africa in 2008.
